We focus on comfort, safety, and fair pay — with opportunities for Standard rides, XL & Van service, and premium tour work.
Driver & Vehicle Requirements
1) General Standards
- Vehicle model year 2019 or newer.
- Four doors and seats at least 4 passengers comfortably.
- Clean, smoke-free, and presentable inside and out.
- Working A/C, heat, seatbelts, power windows, and door locks.
- Valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance.
2) Safety Equipment
- Functioning headlights, brake lights, turn signals, horn, and wipers.
- Spare tire or inflator kit and a phone charger available.
- Active dashcam mounted and running while on PSR trips (front view required; rear cam preferred).
3) Not Allowed
- Salvage or rebuilt titles, loud exhaust, or visible body damage.
- Distracting aftermarket lighting or unsafe modifications.
- Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle.
- Unapproved riders in the car while on PSR trips.
4) Professional Standards
- Clean driving record and professional communication.
- On-time reliability for scheduled rides.
- Comfortable with GPS navigation and basic smartphone apps.
How PSR Ride Categories Work
Palmetto State Rides uses simple, time-based blocks instead of mystery pricing. Drivers see predictable, premium work — especially on XL, Van, and tour rides.
Standard Rides (Sedan)
Time-Block Pricing- 15 minutes — $30
- 25 minutes — $40
- 35 minutes — $55
- 45 minutes — $60
- 60 minutes — $75
Ideal for local trips, restaurant and bar drop-offs, errands, and short city rides.
XL Rides (SUV)
Flat Blocks- 30 minutes — $45
- 45 minutes — $60
- 60 minutes — $75
Premium SUV service for groups, events, and longer city routes. XL drivers are first in line for many tour and event opportunities.
Van Rides
Flat Blocks- 30 minutes — $40
- 45 minutes — $55
- 60 minutes — $70
Designed for concert runs, bar crawls, and group trips. Vans are heavily used for PSR tour packages.
Tour & Special Event Opportunities
In addition to regular rides, select drivers will be offered tour and package work:
- Bar crawls and nightlife runs with PSR Preferred Business partners.
- Concert and event shuttles.
- Scenic and mountain drives, winery or restaurant tours, and special outings.
Tour work is scheduled in advance and designed to provide higher, more predictable earnings for professional drivers.
