Driver Exit & Client Protection Policy

Palmetto State Rides, LLC

Last Updated: October 2025

This policy explains what happens when a driver leaves Palmetto State Rides, LLC, and how client information, portfolios, and goodwill are protected. It ensures fairness to all drivers while safeguarding company data and client relationships.

1) Company Ownership of Client Data

All customer information—including names, phone numbers, emails, booking history, and payment details—is the exclusive property of Palmetto State Rides, LLC. Drivers may view limited client information only for the purpose of completing scheduled rides.

Drivers do not own, control, or have the right to remove or copy any client data outside the Company’s approved systems. Client lists remain within Limo Anywhere and other authorized tools owned by Palmetto State Rides.

2) Driver Goodwill and Portfolios

Drivers earn goodwill through their service quality, referrals, and relationships. This goodwill forms the basis of each driver’s personal client portfolio. However, the underlying client data and booking rights are retained by the Company for legal and operational reasons.

Drivers may request Company approval to sell or transfer their goodwill portfolio to another active driver in good standing. All transfers must be reviewed and approved by Company administration before completion.

3) When a Driver Resigns or Becomes Inactive

  • Upon resignation, termination, or inactivity exceeding 90 consecutive days, driver system access will be disabled.
  • The Company will review the driver’s active client portfolio and determine whether clients should remain under that driver’s name or be reassigned based on recent ride patterns and client loyalty.
  • Drivers leaving in good standing may propose an internal sale of their goodwill portfolio under Company oversight.

4) Non-Solicitation and Confidentiality

Drivers agree not to copy, export, or solicit clients outside the Company system. Attempting to contact or divert clients after departure without Company approval is considered a breach of contract and confidentiality.

Palmetto State Rides reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for violations, including cease-and-desist actions, damages, or forfeiture of unpaid portfolio value.

5) Company Rights and Oversight

Palmetto State Rides, LLC retains full discretion to:

  • Reassign clients for service continuity;
  • Approve or deny portfolio transfers;
  • Modify this policy to comply with state and federal law.

6) Transparency and Fairness

This policy exists to protect both the Company and the drivers who contribute to its growth. Drivers who serve with integrity and professionalism build lasting goodwill within the Palmetto State Rides system. That goodwill is recognized, recorded, and can be transferred ethically within the organization.

This Driver Exit & Client Protection Policy is incorporated by reference into all driver agreements and company Terms & Conditions.
