Welcome to Palmetto State Rides, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). By booking a ride, using our website, or partnering as a driver, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.


1) General Overview

Palmetto State Rides is a scheduled private transportation service operating in South Carolina and surrounding areas. Bookings and dispatch are managed through approved platforms such as Limo Anywhere. Payments are processed via Stripe. You must provide accurate contact and payment information and be 18+ (or have parental/guardian consent).

2) Booking & Payment

  • All bookings are subject to driver availability and dispatch approval.
  • Payments are handled by secure third-party processors (e.g., Stripe). Card/network fees may apply.
  • No-show fees may apply after 5 minutes without client response (minimum $10).

Refund Policy

Refunds are handled in accordance with our cancellation and payment policies. Rides canceled 24 hours or more before pickup will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 12 hours of pickup or after driver dispatch may result in partial or full fare charges, depending on driver time and distance traveled.

Approved refunds are processed securely through Stripe and returned to the original payment method. Refunds typically appear in your account within 3–5 business days, though timing may vary by bank.

*Service fees and completed rides are non-refundable once service has begun.*

3) Cancellations

  • 24+ hours before pickup: No fee.
  • Within 12 hours: $10 cancellation fee.
  • After driver dispatch: Base fare may be charged.

Payment & Processing Fees

All rides include a $1.50 technology and processing fee to cover secure payment handling and system integration through Stripe and Limo Anywhere. This fee ensures accurate scheduling, driver payouts, and transaction security for every ride booked through Palmetto State Rides.

*Fee applies per completed ride and appears as a separate line item on your receipt for transparency.*

4) Driver Status & Responsibilities

Drivers are independent contractors (1099). They must maintain all required licensing, insurance, and background standards, follow company policies, and provide professional service. The Company may revoke active status for policy or performance issues.

5) Client Relations & Preferred Drivers

Clients may request a preferred driver; however, availability is not guaranteed. If a preferred driver is unavailable, another approved driver may be assigned to ensure on-time service. Relationship continuity and loyalty rules are described in our client and driver policies linked below.

6) Driver Client Portfolio Policy (Ownership & Transfers)

Drivers may build client portfolios through completed rides and referrals within our system. Portfolio credit reflects goodwill—not ownership of customer data. Portfolio transfers or sales require written Company approval. If a driver becomes inactive or leaves, client continuity is safeguarded under the Driver Exit policy. See:

7) Privacy & Data Use

We collect only the information necessary to operate and support your rides (contact details, ride history, and payment information via secure processors). Data is controlled by Palmetto State Rides, LLC and protected with appropriate safeguards. See our full policy:

8) Liability Disclaimer

  • We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our control.
  • We are not responsible for items left in vehicles.
  • Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected ride.
  • Clients are responsible for damages to vehicles arising from negligence or misconduct.
Added Stops and Personal Arrangements Palmetto State Rides (“PSR”) provides transportation services strictly according to the details of the confirmed booking. Any additional stops, detours, or route changes requested by passengers after the trip begins are considered a personal arrangement between the passenger and the driver. PSR does not supervise, authorize, or process payment for these additional stops. Fares for unscheduled stops are set and collected at the sole discretion of the driver and are not governed by PSR’s pricing structure. Passengers acknowledge that PSR bears no responsibility or liability for any outcomes related to such private arrangements, including but not limited to payment disputes, delays, property loss, or accidents occurring during or after an added stop. By booking a ride through PSR, you agree that all official payments and communications must be completed through the PSR system. Any agreement made directly with a driver outside the confirmed booking is solely between the parties involved.

9) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted here with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
